Jump starts, lockouts, tires, and fuel
Winter jump starts are the volume call from November through March. Cold soaks batteries in NDSU lots, Hector Airport parking, and overnight street spots after a Bison game. If the car still will not hold a charge, we convert the same call into a tow to a shop instead of leaving you cycling a dead battery.
Lockouts, spare-tire changes, and emergency fuel are available when it is safe to work on the shoulder. Interstate shoulders on I-29 and I-94 are high-risk work zones; operators will stage with lights and may wait for a safer window if traffic or ice makes the stop too dangerous. If you have no spare, the call becomes a short tow.
When roadside turns into a tow
A jump that dies two blocks later, a tire shredded past the spare, or a car that still will not start after fuel is a tow. You will not be billed a mystery second dispatch if we already know the car has to move — say so on the first call if you already suspect it.
Motor-club memberships sometimes send a separate vendor with long waits. If you want a local truck now, call dispatch directly and keep your membership reimbursement paperwork for later.

Can you jump a car in a Fargo apartment lot at night?+
Yes, as long as the vehicle is accessible and not blocked into a stall the truck cannot reach. Have your hood release ready and stand somewhere lighted and visible.
Do you deliver gas on I-29?+
Emergency fuel can be brought to a safe shoulder stop when conditions allow. If the Interstate is too dangerous or the car is in a travel lane, the safer move is a short tow off the highway first.
